Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and pro-active experienced Trust worker to work as a Radiographic Assistant within the CT/MRI section of the Radiology departments at the Calderdale and Huddersfield hospitals.
There are currently 3 CT scanners and 4 MRI scanners across both the CRH and HRI sites. This year an additional CT scanner will be installed at the CRH site as well as a Community Diagnostic centre being opened in Halifax in July 2024.
The service operates over 7 days with extended opening hours on all days. The assistants rota will reflect these hours.
Main duties of the job
To work as part of the CT/MRI team in the CT and MRI departments, maintaining high standards of patient preparation and care and be proficient at intravenous cannulation. You will be required to work in all areas of the service.
Summary of most important/preferred Experience/Skills/Qualifications required:Current experience of working within the service area, or wider hospital.Experience of a patient focused role.Proficient in IV Cannulation.Good knowledge of Radiology CRISNeat, tidy and professional appearance.

- Experience of working within a health or care setting
- Recent relevant experience of working in a health-related environment. Evidence of working with a wide range of patients with differing care needs
