Job summary

The role of the WYAAT (West Yorkshire Association of Acute Trusts) Head of Pathology Systems & Interoperability is act as the system owner for the West Yorkshire & Harrogate Pathology Network Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and ICE Enterprise as well as the development and functionality of pathology systems owed at a Trust level.

Main duties of the job

The Head of Pathology Systems & Interoperability will be responsible for:

  • Leadership of development and implementation of LIMS and ICE Enterprise alongside the Implementation Manager and programme team
  • Reshape our current Pathology IT support services to enable successful support and maintenance to a single instance system across six WYAAT Trusts.
  • Provide leadership and management to the Network support function in the long-term.
  • Take a strategic role in advancing digital solutions across the Network including deployment of digital cellular pathology, growing use of artificial intelligence and near patient and self-testing, providing subject matter expertise and oversight of implementation of new solutions which expand digitisation or interoperability across the pathology network.
