A General Manager opportunity has arisen within the Families and Specialist Services Division at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust.
We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and dynamic General Manager to join us in our Children and Young Peoples directorate. We are a diverse division providing services across Pharmacy, Outpatients, Pathology, Radiology and Womens services. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and support our on-going vision for modernisation of services within a Trust at the forefront of digital innovation.

About us
We employ more than 6,500 staffwho deliver compassionate care from our two main hospitals,Calderdale Royal Hospital and Huddersfield Royal Infirmary as well as in community sites, healthcentres and in patients' homes. We also are incredibly proud to have almost 150 volunteers here at CHFT.
We provide a range of services including urgent and emergency care; medical; surgical; maternity; gynaecology; critical care; children's and young people's services; end of life care and outpatient and diagnostic imaging services.
We provide community health services, including sexual health services in Calderdale from Calderdale Royal and local health centres. These include Todmorden Health Centre and Broad Street Plaza.

- Training masters level or equivalent experience
- Specialist knowledge in Business Management/General Management
- Evidence of continuous professional development
Desirable
- Project Management experience, prince 2 or other project management qualification

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & EXPERTISE

- Significant management experience in the acute sector
- Proven track record of meeting internally and externally generated targets
- Experience in the delivery of tangible quality and financial benefits using structured tools and techniques of service improvement, such as Lean and Six Sigma.
- Budget management experience, including reducing costs/ efficiency gains, monitoring and determining corrective action
- Understanding of recommendations from Francis, Keogh and other patient experience and quality of care directives and measures
- The ability to deal with complex issues in a large organisation.
- Full range of IT skills including spreadsheet analysis.
- Experience of developing and implementing strategic plans at service level that enables the attainment of Division objectives.
