About us

The ADHD pathway of the Adult Autism and ADHD Service provides diagnostic assessment, and a medication offer for adults who have a Berkshire GP. We are a small but very well established and experienced team working to support clients with ADHD across all of Berkshire from a routine clinic model. We do not offer an urgent service. We operate out of 25 Erleigh Road in Reading and are seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist with a passion for working with neurodivergent people, who can autonomously see adults for medication prescribing, and can provide leadership and supervision to other members of our team.

We receive new referrals from GPs or other health professionals. We have separate pathways for diagnostic assessment and medication. Our medication pathway consistent of initiation, titration and review. We have experienced significant increase in our rate of referrals over the past few years, and so we are also looking for a candidate who can think innovatively and critically about how we offer the best service to our clients.

Our team sits within the Children, Families and All Age directorate, and young people transition into our team from the Children and Young Peoples ADHD Service. We also retain close working relationships with colleagues in Adult Mental Health. Our ADHD clients may access other services, for example CMHT or CHRTT, while accessing our service as we offer treatment for ADHD from our team.
