Job summary

We havea great opportunityfor a Team Administrator/Receptionistto join our Community Paediatrics Team.The role is based at Upton Hospital, Fir Tree House,with anopportunity for flexible working hours.

We are looking for someone with proven administration experience who will be able to take on administration responsibilities such as manging electronic mail inboxes, making and answering telephone calls with service users, management of referrals, ordering medical and stationery supplies, covering reception and general admin tasks.

Main duties of the job

  • To act as the Team Administrator for the Community Paediatricians and act on their behalf within departmental guidelines.

  • To independently provide comprehensive administrative support inclusive of referrals, ECHArequests, booking appointments, internal and external telephone calls, sending out correspondence, filing, updating patient records,discharge,and archiving.

  • To ensure good communications aremaintainedacross the service; being the first point of contact with external agencies/stakeholders/service users/locality.

  • To providereception cover andadministrative support to themedicalsecretaries andconsultants, including booking appointments, sending outcorrespondenceand updating electronic patient records.
