We arecurrently recruitingfor aqualified Occupational Therapist to join ourteamsupporting Adults with Learning Disabilities in the Windsor and Maidenhead area (WAM).

We are afriendlyjoint Multi Professional Team of Health and Social Care Staff,whowork across a range of settings from people's homes, residentialand supported livingservicesandday services.Youwillcover a wide variety of areas from skill development to equipment provision, both individual and group work and sensory assessmentsandsupport.

No two days are the sameand we are looking for someone with passion for their work, creative and flexible in thoughtwho isopen to working holistically and jointly with our supportive Team.You will bepassionate about advocating for and enabling people with learning disabilities to achieve, be healthy and have the same opportunities as anyone else. In response we will provide you with a supportive Team where you can reflect, learn and develop.

The core hours for this role are 9-5 Monday toFridayand we are open tosuggestions of flexible working.You will be based at St Marks Hospital, Maidenheadprimarilysupportingthe WAM CTPLD team,however theremay be occasions when you willbe requiredto provideTrust wide cover.

Main duties of the job

  • Under the support of the band 6 OT, toworkautonomously, butas part of a Teamto help plan thedevelopment of theSpecialistOccupational Therapy Service in WAM CTPLD.

  • To work with all parties to assess, plan, implementand reviewOccupational Therapytreatment plansfor people with Learning Disabilities.

  • Withsupervisionfrom the Band 6 OT, to manage a caseload of service users with complex needs, using evidence based/person centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions.

  • To work alongside the client, the families, paidcarersand professionals involved to create the best agreed and bespoke care for people with Learning disabilities.

  • Providespecialist clinical advice, training (as agreed) and information to colleagues,carersand other professionals, including students.

  • Toidentifyrelevant goals and carry out care plans / outcome measures on each new referral at the beginning,middleand discharge.

  • Tomaintainaccurateclient records and anup to dateCPD.

  • To work in a multi-disciplinary way with an array of professionals.
