Job summary

We support adults aged 18-75 with severe and enduring mental illness, promoting recovery, independence, and improved quality of life. As an Advanced Clinical Practitioner, you will deliver high-quality, person-centred care while providing strong clinical leadership within a multidisciplinary team of around 40 staff.

You will lead on complex clinical cases, provide support and guidance to colleagues, and help ensure the service continues to deliver safe, effective, and recovery-focused care to empower individuals to understand their experiences and work towards goals such as returning to college, university, or employment.

This part-time role (18.75 hours) offers flexible working with no fixed days, alongside excellent opportunities for professional development and a strong work-life balance.

Main duties of the job

  • Contribute to thedelivery of specialist interventions,with a particular focus onpsychosocial interventions,physical health/wellbeingand supporting informed treatment decisions insevere and enduring mental illness.

  • Deliverand /or contribute tomedicines optimisation usinga person-values centred approach.

  • Demonstrate expert clinical knowledge through provision ofhighly specialist adviceandsupport to patients, families, BHFTstaffand external stakeholders.

  • Demonstrate effective communication and liaison with other care providersin order toensurehigh standardsof care aremaintained.

  • Deliver specialist training to BHFT staff and external stakeholdersregardingsevere and enduring mental illness,psychotropic prescribingand shared decision making.

  • Contribute todevelopment and implementation of theservicestrategy, performance metrics, keyobjectivesand efficient use of resources.

  • Undertake and supportmedicineand physical health-related auditsand quality improvement projects.

  • Lead on implementationand support the use ofshared care protocols whereappropriate.
