Job summary

You could be part of our friendly, innovative and enthusiastic team at East Berkshire Specialist Wheelchair Service, working as a part of a high performing administration team alongside team of specialist Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapists, Rehab Engineer and Technicians.

Based in beautiful Berkshire we cover the East of Berkshire and provide wheelchairs and specialist seating to a broad range of people (adults and children) including those with complex disabilities. We are based in a newly renovated location at 3, Abell Gardens in Maidenhead providing staff and patients with hugely improved environment and facilities.

We work on a Monday through Friday basis, with no weekend work and offer flexible and part time working, including working from home at times, so that you can have a fantastic work life balance.

We are looking for someone with a warm personality, who is approachable, compassionate, and empathetic, withgreat teamand people skills to join our team.

Main duties of the job

You will bepart of our great administration team, which takes pride in their ability to make a real difference to patients' lives.

The main duties of the roleinclude:

  • Coordinating and providing administrative support toouroperational team, including collating and inputting dataandbeing the first point of contact for the service.

  • Beingresponsibleformanningreception and welcoming patients and visitors on site

  • Managing telephone callswith service users anddeal sensitively and appropriately and take relevant action depending on the nature of the call

  • Usingpatient booking systems, includingBESTto helpfacilitatean efficient referral and booking process

  • Working with patients,relativesand carers within a multi-disciplinary team and in partnership with professionals in health, social care,educationand charities as well as with specialist providers and technicians.

Good, effective teamwork and the ability to work collaborativelyis a vital partofthe role.
