Band 3Physiotherapy Assistantwith theLearningDisabilityTeambased atErleghhouse, University of Readingand working in thecommunity.This is a part time role, 17 hours per week, Monday to Friday, working pattern negotiable.

Youwill be part of amulti-disciplinaryteamthatispassionate about improving the health and lifestylesof peoplewithdisabilities.

Your role will betoassist thephysiotherapistindeliveringtreatmentprogrammesdevisedto improve andmaintainthe health andphysical abilitiesofour clients.The ideal candidatewill be caring,empatheticand confident to workin apractical roleworking directly with clients.

Main duties of the job

  • To carry out treatment & exercise programmes under the supervision of a physiotherapist, informing the physiotherapist of the patient's response and planning and implementation of ongoing care with supervision.

  • To be able to motivate andencouragepatients through effective communication skills.

  • To liaise and work jointly with the Physiotherapist and otherprofessionals in the teamas requiredto meet the clients'overall healthneeds
