Band 3Physiotherapy Assistantwith theLearningDisabilityTeambased atErleghhouse, University of Readingand working in thecommunity.This is a part time role, 17 hours per week, Monday to Friday, working pattern negotiable.
Youwill be part of amulti-disciplinaryteamthatispassionate about improving the health and lifestylesof peoplewithdisabilities.
Your role will betoassist thephysiotherapistindeliveringtreatmentprogrammesdevisedto improve andmaintainthe health andphysical abilitiesofour clients.The ideal candidatewill be caring,empatheticand confident to workin apractical roleworking directly with clients.
Main duties of the job

To carry out treatment & exercise programmes under the supervision of a physiotherapist, informing the physiotherapist of the patient's response and planning and implementation of ongoing care with supervision.

To be able to motivate andencouragepatients through effective communication skills.

To liaise and work jointly with the Physiotherapist and otherprofessionals in the teamas requiredto meet the clients'overall healthneeds
