Job summary

We are introducing a new programme of psychoeducational group interventions aimed at people with emotional regulation and emotional intensity difficulties. If you feel passionate about service development, addressing the gap between primary and secondary care and wish to expand your clinical leadership skills, this role could be ideal for you, and we would love to hear from you!

Youwillbeinvolved in the planning and delivery ofa variety ofonline and/or in-personpsychoeducationaland therapygroups, includingleading onthe deliveryof a new skills-based group programme where participants can learn new skills to manage difficulties with emotional intensity and related behaviours.

You will be working closely with our Community Mental HealthPsychological Therapies (CMHPT) andour Mental HealthIntegrated Community Teams (MHICS). There will be opportunitiesfor you to contribute to the widerpsychologicaltherapies provisiondepending on your interests and needs,which can include the potential for individual work.

You will be joining a dynamic team that values staff wellbeing and you will be well supported and supervised by a SeniorPsychologist. Your work base will be in Reading, althougha significant proportionof the service delivery will be online.

Main duties of the job

We have one vacancy where we are looking to fill with a Senior Clinician. This role can be filled by either a Psychological Therapist (CBT) or an Clinical / Counselling Psychologist.   • To work as part of a team to support and enhance the psychological care of adults with significant mental health issues in primary care.

  • Tosupport andlead on thedelivery ofavariety of psychoeducational and therapy groupprogrammesfor people withemotional regulationand emotional intensitydifficultiesand SMIacrossBerkshire,together with holding asmallcaseload of clients requiring individual CBT for SMI.

  • To liaise and work closelywith other Psychological Therapists within MHICS and CMHPTin jointly delivering andfacilitatingthe group programmes

  • Toparticipatein the implementation and development of system-wide mental health services that will contribute to improved experience for people with serious mental health problems in primary care.

  • To provideclinical leadership and oversight of the service delivery of the groupsaimed at people with emotional intensity difficultiesas well as oversight into other digital offers for people with emotional regulation difficulties.

  • Tosupervise and support junior psychological staffin the facilitation of psychoeducational groups.
