This is an exciting time ofgrowth,and an opportunity has arisen for a Mental Health Wellbeing Practitionerrolefor our Wokingham Mental Health Services.You will work collaboratively with a range of professionals across health, mental health, social care,employmentand other settings asrequired.
You will be able to work autonomously, 9-5 Mon-Frid, exercise clear and coherent decision-making skills and be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the wider service.
Training will be given to further develop your knowledge and understanding of this client group.
Main duties of the job
Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioners (MHWP) play avitalrole in supporting adults with severe and/or significant mental health problems to manage their mental health. They work as part of multi-disciplinary teams (MDT) to support the delivery of care plans and providewellbeing-focused psychologically informed interventions.
As a qualified MHWP, you will work within a multidisciplinaryadultmental health teamto supportservice users in achieving their personal recovery goals. You willdeliverstructured,wellbeing-focused psychologicallyinformed interventions,that arebased on the evidence availableand informed by clinical outcomes, toaddress problems often experienced by people with severe mental health problems.
This role will include working with people fromdifferent culturalbackgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary. You will workcollaboratively with a range of professionalsacrosshealth, mental health, social care,employmentandother settings asrequired.
You willengage withregular case management supervision from a qualified professional and clinical skills supervision from a HCPC registered clinical/counselling psychologist or BABCP accredited cognitive behavioural therapist, to provide high quality collaborative care planning and wellbeing interventions.
