Berkshire Healthcare Foundation Trust

Co-Ordinator & Administrator

The closing date is 10 November 2025

Job summary

This is a full time role and is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, innovative, and hard-working administrator to work as part of IMPACTT - a specialist mental health service working with Personality Disorders across the whole of Berkshire. The team is made up of a variety of professionals including psychotherapists, clinical and counselling psychologists, Mental Health Practitioners and Lived experience practitioners who are supported by a team of Administrators.

Our base is at Erlegh House on the University of Reading Whiteknights campus. This is a spacious parkland site and is a very pleasant setting. There are dedicated car parking areas for both staff and patients. We are a warm and cohesive team who are committed to staff well-being.

The service runs from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm and there may be some opportunity for working flexibly around these times, which will be agreed with the right candidate, together with some opportunities for home working while ensuring we are able to offer a complete service. In addition, there are some occasions where our administrators need to travel to other sites in Berkshire and they may be required to work at Upton Hospital in Slough to cover periods of leave and other absence.

There is some flexibility over the working pattern which will be agreed with the right candidate.

Main duties of the job

  • As part of the administrative team you will be required to work with minimal supervision to provide professional administrative support to the clinical teams within the IMPACTT umbrella of services including our therapy streams, SUN (Service User Network), ASSIST (Assertive Stabilization), PICT (Psychologically Informed Consultation and Training team)

  • You will work closely with clinical colleagues and will have a lot of contact with our service users, mainly by telephone, which can sometimes be emotionally challenging.

  • You will be arranging appointments, booking consulting rooms and preparing complex, confidential correspondence which requires a high degree of accuracy

  • You will support in the collection of activity data and assisting with the scoring of psychometric questionnaires

  • You may also be assisting in the preparation of training programmes

  • You will be expected to prioritise your own workload and support other administrative colleagues during times of absence.

  • You will receive regular supervision from and be supported by our Senior Administrator or Business and Performance Manager.
