Education/Qualifications/Training

Essential

• Good Pharmacy Honours degree (BPharm or MPharm)
• Postgraduate Pharmacy Certificate or Diploma (band 7)
• Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)

Desirable

• Postgraduate Pharmacy Certificate or Diploma ( band 6 )
• Member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain

Continuous Professional Development

Essential

• Evidence of continuing professional development and compliance with the GPhC CPD on-line recording system
• Willingness and ability to undertake all Trust statutory and mandatory training

Previous Experience

Essential

• Pre-registration training year in hospital pharmacy ( band 7)
• Significant post registration experience in hospital pharmacy (band 7)
• Experience of providing medicines information to patients/carers
• Experience of audit or project facilitation
• Supervision of staff ( band 7)
• Relevant, adequate number of years post-registration experience as a practising pharmacist (band 7)
• Experience of working within a multidisciplinary team and making clinically appropriate interventions (band 7 )
• Proven experience of delivering responsibilities and objectives on time
• Experience working within Medicines Information (band 7 )
• Experience of financial management of medicines (band 7)

Desirable

• Basic experience in mental health
• Supervision of staff (band 6)
