We have an exciting opportunity for a band 6 SaLT to join the Children and Young People's Integrated Therapy team under the direction of a Band 7 therapist. There will be dedicated time and opportunities to shadow therapists in various settings, attend training sessions and develop your knowledge and skills within the wider school age therapy team and develop specialist skills relating to working with Deaf children.
As a Band 6 Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist, you will be responsible for the planning and management of your own school-age caseload and service delivery using an impact-based model of clinical decision making. As part of a well established multidisciplinary team including Royal Berkshire Audiology and Berkshire Sensory Consortium service, you will be working with children and young people with speech and language needs, as well as supporting deaf children within resource bases and mainstream schools. You will have the opportunity to actively contribute to service development and provide supervision and support to junior staff members.
The position is 30 hours per week. The role will involve travel to several sites but also leaves room for some home working.

To provide high quality assessment and interventions for children and young people with developmental / complex needs in area of specialist expertise, using evidence based/person-centered principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions.
