Job summary

An excellent opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join a high-quality Occupational Therapy service. Our service aims to help adults to continue to live at home, where your role will be to assess and manage a caseload of patients, on an inpatient ward, with varied and complex needs located across West Berkshire.

The ideal candidate will be a registered Occupational Therapist with an interest in the rehabilitation of older adults, have great organisational skills and enjoy team working

Main duties of the job

  • The post will be part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team within an inpatient setting which will offer assessment and treatment for patients in the west of Berkshire.

  • To provide supervision guidance to band 3 and 4 support workers in the therapy team. To make recommendations to the wider MDT and to support with education of students.

  • To identify service developments, needs, contribute to the planning, development and evaluation of the service and have responsibility for defined projects.

  • To be responsible for a complex caseload using an interdisciplinary, patient focused rehabilitative approach with support from the senior therapists
