We are well-established group of dedicated professionals, including social workers, community mental health nurses, consultant psychiatrists, psychological therapists, occupational therapists, community support workers, employment specialists, and administrative staff. Jointly funded by the Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and Slough Borough Council, we are committed to providing top-class care and support to adults with significant mental illnesses and their carers.

What We're Looking For:

We need someone with expert knowledge in a healthcare area of specialism within an Adult Mental Health service and the ability to use expert advice/knowledge when interacting on health and social care subjects.

Main duties of the job

This post is funded by, and accountable to, Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (BHFT) , however as a number of services that report into this role are joint funded by the respective Local Authority, some responsibilities and activities are carried out in line with policies from both organisations.

This role oversees the operation of designated Community Mental Health Services for Adults (the Services) in the Locality on behalf of BHFT and the respective Local Authority. See organisation chart.

As a Senior Service Manager, you'll:

Ensure that services are delivered whilst meeting statutory requirements for the Local Authority and key performance targets for BHFT.

Participate as a member of the Senior Management Team in the Locality, to deliver all aspects of mental health service to the highest quality and standards with available resources.

Work autonomously and have the freedom to take action, advise and implement new ideas and projects within the service, whilst ensuring that the fundamental service purpose and delivery is not impacted

Provide high level and complex professional and managerial advice, guidance and instruction as requested and required by the multi-disciplinary team.

Deputise for the Locality Manager/Head of Service as required.

Build and Maintain effective relationships with appropriate staff across both organisations as well as with system stakeholders within Frimley ICS, Primary Care networks and CCG.
