Our Slough Community Mental Health Service is a well-established group of dedicated professionals, including social workers, community mental health nurses, consultant psychiatrists, psychological therapists, occupational therapists, community support workers, employment specialists, and administrative staff. Jointly funded by the Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and Slough Borough Council, we are committed to providing top-class care and support to adults with significant mental illnesses and their carers.

Main duties of the job

What We're Looking For:

  • As an integral member of the management team, you'll support the effective operational management and leadership of the service.

  • You'll act as the senior point of contact for all administrative matters, communicating complex, sensitive and confidential information including patient data, co-ordinating communication and making appropriate decisions to escalate to senior managers when necessary.

  • Someone who can promote and encourage good working relationships across the service by supporting effective communications channels, reviewing and improving existing procedures where necessary.

You'll act as the senior point of contact for all administrative matters, communicating complex, sensitive and confidential information including patient data, co-ordinating communication and making appropriate decisions to escalate to senior managers when necessary.

You'll liaise confidently and effectively with all levels of staff within the Trust, including patients and visitors, voluntary and external organisations including Slough Borough Council.

To provide operational leadership to the teams of administrative, reception and secretarial staff to ensure a responsive and flexible service. To plan and allocate resources as required ensuring the efficient use of such resources.
