Ideally, we are looking for someone with experience in this role or in healthcare but this is not essential. This job would be particularly well suited to applicants with a background in sports and exercise, with experience of delivering exercise and manual therapy. We are looking to recruit someone who can contribute to the positive culture of our team, engage with staff and patients respectfully, and conduct their work in a professional manner. The role will encompass:

  • Assisting the physiotherapists in the delivery of individual and group exercise programmes. This may involve delivering exercise sessions, hands on therapies such as massage, and patient education. Training is provided in any of the modalities used. All patients are initially assessed by the physiotherapist.

  • Ensuring stock and equipment levels are maintained and re-ordered on a regular basis and that equipment is well maintained and clean in line with infection control guidelines.

  • Carrying own caseload of patients with simple predictable conditions, as delegated by the therapist.

  • Assisting in the administrative duties of the physiotherapy service when required, including reception duties, data inputting, photocopying, assisting with audits and completing patient records.
