Job summary

Berkshire Healthcare are seeking organised and motivated candidates for MSK Physiotherapy Clinical Specialist roles based at West Berkshire Community Hospital or Bath Road (Reading) We have 2 x 1 Year part time posts available (30/31 hours) and these will be offered as a fixed term contract for external candidates or a secondment (with potential to progress to a substantive role) for internal candidates.

We receive a wide variety of referrals from GP surgeries, orthopaedic clinics and from the Trusts Specialist Spinal/Pain Service and MSK Community Specialist Service. You will be accountable for the clinical leadership and supervision of an excellent clinical team ranging from Bands 3 - 6 as well as being involved in the development of our rehabilitation pathways. You will also work closely with our team leads and Advanced Practice Physiotherapists (APPs) within Berkshire Healthcare to deliver a first class and seamless service to our patients.

This role requires a dynamic and enthusiastic person with excellent communication skills, who has experience of collaborative working. You should have a broad range of musculoskeletal outpatient postgraduate experience as a senior musculoskeletal physiotherapist and should also be able to demonstrate an advanced level of clinical skill and reasoning.

Main duties of the job

  • To provide the clinical leadership for the MSK Physiotherapy Team
  • To manage your own independent caseload
  • To work with the Team Lead to co-ordinate the overall management of the service
  • To work collaboratively with the Integrated Pain and Spinal Service and MSK Community Specialist Service to provide seamless and effective care
