Job summary

Want to work in a CQC outstanding trust within an established team? This is a part time, permanent role. We are looking for a candidate with an interest in neurodivergence and mental health to work within our Service. As part of the multidisciplinary team based in Reading, Berkshire you will offer diagnostic assessments for adults with autism and ADHD and prepare neuro affirmative reports in accordance with NICE guidelines. As part of these reports a formulation of the clients presenting strengths and difficulties should be provided that directly leads to a care plan.

Main duties of the job

The post holder is expected to work both autonomously and as part of a team to complete NICE compliant specialist diagnostic assessment for adults referred for Autism and ADHD diagnostic assessment. The successful applicant will be responsible for assessment of clients who have additional mental health diagnosis such as trauma, personality disorder, psychiatric presentations and previous substance use and differential diagnosis will be an essential component of the assessment. Assessments require collection, interpretation and integration of complex data from a variety of sources including self-report measures, rating scales, direct and indirect structured observations and semi-structured interviews with clients, family members and others involved in the client's care and the completion of structured diagnostic observations (ADOS/DIVA). A laptop and appropriate working equipment will be provided.

We offer training, one to one and peer supervision to support reflective practice and develop use of specific assessment tools. There may be opportunities to supervise other members of staff.
