Dietetic Assistant Practitioner - West Berkshire Community
This exciting post is a great opportunity for something with an interest in preventing and treating malnutrition in care homes and community settings across West Berkshire.
The role suits someone with experience and/or knowledge of clinical nutrition as well as a desire to improve the nutrition of the local population and support vulnerable patient groups.
The role involves working alongside registered dietitians to provide tailored nutrition support advice to patients, developing digital training resources/videos/webinars, day-to-day administration support and problem-solving to improve department processes.
Main duties of the job
- Permanent: 22.5 hrs/week
- To support registered dietitians with dietetic management of delegated nutrition-support patients in nursing homes and their own homes
- To work within designated care homes, delivering education/training sessions on MUST and 'Food First' advice to care staff.
- To collect audit information from care home staff and caterers, and adapt education following the assessment of the audit findings.
- Creation of novel digital solutions and resources for nutrition support.
