Job summary
The post holder will assist in providing a comprehensive bookings management service for the diabetes service across Berkshire. The post holder will be the first point of contact with patients and carers, CCG personnel, acute trust personnel and external agencies regarding appointment bookings. The post holder will upload referrals, clinic preparation, photocopying and printing, booking of appointments and data inputting for diabetes specific audits as required.
Monday 8.30am - 5.15pm (8 hours 15 mins)
Tuesday 8.30am - 3.30pm (6 hours 30 mins)
Wednesday 8.30am - 5.15pm (8 hours 15 mins)
Thursday 8.30am - 5.15pm (8 hours 15 mins)
Friday 8.30am - 3. 30pm (6 hours 30 mins)
You will assist in developing and maintaining services provided to service users and contribute to the safe, efficient, and smooth running of the department including the provision of face-to-face Consultant Led Outpatient clinics. You will assist the clinical team in the assessment, monitoring of service users by and accurately recording and reporting.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, with a warm personality and great people skills. You will need to be adaptable to change and be able to influence new ways of working.
The service now has its own dedicated Diabetes Consultant, so this is an exciting time for you to join our team as we are transforming the way that we deliver diabetes care.
Main duties of the job
Ideally with previous bookings experience you will support appointment bookings team bookings appointments for both our Consultant Led Outpatient Services and the provision of structured patient group education across Berkshire.
You will be the first point of contact with patients who require specialist appointments.
