This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a dynamic and fast paced mental health service in BHFT. We are looking for enthusiastic and dynamic Mental health professional, who like us thrives in finding innovative solutions to meeting needs of our service users.
The Common Point of Entry/Gateway is the front door to community Mental health services across Berkshire. We are predominantly a Telephone assessment service, however also provide virtual and face to face assessments based on clinical need. We are a Triage, assessment and signposting service, with no caseload management.
We are based in our brand new central location in Bracknell, with ample free parking facilities.
We operate between 8am and 8pm Monday to Friday on a flexible 3 shift basis (these include 8am-4pm, 12pm-8pm and 9am-5pm depending on the need of the service). We offer a mixture of home, Hub and locality working, with a leadership team committed to staff wellbeing and work/life balance.
The team is very experienced and diverse, we are keen to support ongoing personal and professional development supporting learning opportunities both informal and formal.

Main duties of the job
- The Common point of entry service has an exciting opportunity for a qualified professional to step into an established role within a diverse and experienced team. The successful candidate will be pivotal to our work in providing first line contact to people who need our services, through providing a welcoming, positive and respectful first impression to service users, families, carers and professionals.
- We are seeking a motivated and passionate individual with a high standard of knowledge and experience of working with adults who are experiencing a range of mental health presentations. The post holder will be expected to have regular contact with referring professionals as well as service users, families and carers.
- The post holder will also be required to support internal relationships across BHFT services. They will have the ability to work well within a team environment and be able to manage and prioritise workload, being able to work on their own initiative with minimal supervision, to meet deadlines and prevent delays for people accessing services to meet their health needs.
