We are looking for a Systemic Family Therapists to join our very well-established Children's Eating Disorders Service based in Maidenhead.
In this role you will provide specialist assessments, care planning and a range of evidence-based interventions. You will be responsible for assessing and treating children and young people and their families in relation to a range of highly complex emotional, psychological and behavioural challenges.
This will be a varied role working as part of a multidisciplinary team and with professionals across agencies.
As a service we offer specialist training and support to people who are new to working in eating disorders. We are very committed to the development of our staff offering lots of professional support as well as the opportunity to do do both internal and external.
The working hours for this role are Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 17:00pm. There is some flexibility for home working.
Main duties of the job
- Providing systemic psychotherapy as autonomous professional employing methods based upon evidence
- Working in ways which are sensitive to and appropriate for the needs of families from a wide range of racial, cultural and religious backgrounds
- Undertaking detailed and specialist psychological and systemic assessment of adults/children and families using such assessment procedures as may be appropriate
- Participating in multidisciplinary meetings, child protection case conferences and reviews, etc.
- Maintaining up to date and accurate clinical record
