Due to some additional funding, we are excited to be able to be recruit a new Senior Clinical Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic team based at Prospect Park Hospital in Reading.

As a key member of the pharmacy clinical services team, you will contribute to the development and implementation of clinical pharmacy services, key objectives and the efficient use of resources. You will work with pharmacists, and Clinical pharmacy Technicians, liaising closely with the Clinical Pharmacy Technicians Team Manager, and integrate with the ward teams to give great patient care and experience.

For this position we are looking for someone from a hospital pharmacy background who has a greater clinical knowledge and is confident in supporting more junior colleagues.

The service operates 9-5 Monday to Friday and we are open to applications from both full and part time candidates.

Main duties of the job

  • Responsibility for the ongoing development and delivery of our Clinical Pharmacy vision
  • Ensuring effective implementation and operation of Clinical Pharmacy Technician functions
  • Support the CPPTM with the ongoing delivery and development of Clinical Pharmacy Technician services within the area, and in a coordinated way across the Trust
  • Lead by example, modelling the role of Senior Clinical Pharmacy Technician, and working with all other Pharmacy colleagues to ensure seamless services

  • Nationally accredited checking technician qualification.
