Job summary
We have an exciting Band 5 opportunity within our Assessment and Rehabilitation Centre (ARC), providing frailty and rehabilitation services to the residence of East Berkshire, mainly working across 2 sites in Maidenhead and Slough and are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and innovative candidate.
For this post you will need to be a qualified physiotherapist with experience of working in the different areas of physiotherapy, ideally with some experience in the rehabilitation of older adults. A good working knowledge of how the different community, primary and secondary care services, Local Authorities, and voluntary services work together is a bonus. The post will largely involve managing a clinical caseload of elderly rehabilitation referrals, mainly around frailty and falls, seeing patients within the clinic setting and occasionally in their own home. There will be some exposure to Neurological patients. This post will work closely with the wider integrated Care services such as Community Physiotherapy and Intermediate care. To be successful in this position you will need the ability to work independently and as a team player, and you will need excellent interpersonal skills. You will have the opportunity to help implement service improvements and contribute to service development and the QMIS (Quality Improvement Management System) process.

- Effectively manage a caseload of older adults with needs relating to frailty, falls and Neuro.
- Appropriately delegate ongoing rehabilitation plans to support workforce where appropriate.
- Supervise and support more junior and unqualified support workers.
- Contribute to and help implement service development.
Working pattern + Service operating hours
This post is open to those looking for full time work (37.5 hours/week). The service operates Monday to Friday between 08:00-17:00; there is some flexibility in the hours you work depending on service need. All of the work is delivered face to face, although there are some virtual aspects to this role.
We offer excellent in-service training, one to one clinical development and regular peer support to all our qualified staff and there are opportunities to support staff with external courses where appropriate. Every member of staff also receives a comprehensive yearly appraisal to assist in their development. Funding for external courses is available, as well as the opportunity to attend in-house courses.
