CAMHs Health and Justice Team Part-time Physical Health Nurse - East of Berkshire (RBWM and Slough)

We are looking to recruit a 0.6wte Band 6 Physical Health Nurse on a permanent contract. We operate a hybrid model of working, where we work from our homes or from Slough and RBWM YOT sites. You will be an enthusiastic and experienced Physical Health Nurse, who is motivated, resilient, and flexible. You will be interested in the Youth Justice system and in supporting young people who have experienced adverse childhood experiences and have found themselves in trouble with the police. You would join the Berkshire CAMHS Health and Justice team, which is a multidisciplinary team that supports the mental health and physical health needs of the young people who are working on a statutory or voluntary basis within the three East Berkshire Youth Offending Teams.
Main duties of the job
The CAMHS Health and Justice team aims to provide an accessible, flexible and responsive local service for vulnerable and risky young people, their families and the professionals who work with them. The CAMHS Health and Justice team is closely linked to the wider Berkshire CAMHS service as well as to Thames Valley Forensic CAMHS, Liaison and Diversion services, Children's Social Care and the voluntary sector.
About the Job
- Screening all young people who are referred into the YOTs and arranging and supporting any health updates required.
- Providing consultation and advice to members of the YOT team with regard to young people with physical health needs.
- Providing a comprehensive health assessment for young people.
- Offering health interventions (e.g. sleep, diet, healthy lifestyle).
- Liaising with other health specialist services.
