Our service, based in CAMHS Phoenix Unit on the Wokingham Community Hospital site, is a hospital at home service that provides evidence based psychiatric, nursing, and therapeutic interventions for young people under the age of 18presenting withsevere and complex mental health difficultiesassessed as requiring Tier 4 level care, includingwhere these disorders are co-morbid with neurodevelopmental diagnoses.
All young people who are accepted to the service will follow a structured programme, in line withrelevantNICE guidelines (for exampleanorexia nervosa, depression, anxiety, emotional dysregulation).Interventions are delivered by a multi-disciplinary clinical team comprising of: Consultant Psychiatrist, Psychologists, Nurses, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, Dietitian, Family Therapist, Teaching staff, Support staff including Assistant Psychologists, Clinical Support Staff, Activity Co-ordinator, Administrators and Managerial Support.
Main duties of the job
- To provide an expert social care perspective to CAMHS service development, as required.
- To provide experience and expertise to ensure the effective management of children at risk of abuse and neglect.
- To work closely with the Phoenix young people' local social care teams for the purposes of information-sharing, consultation, and access to mental health services, carrying out joint assessments and intervention where appropriate to the needs of the child/young person.
- To be committed to developing close links between Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (BHFT) and other social care services

Essential
- CQSW/CSS/DipSW or equivalent Social Work qualification.
- Registered with Social Work England
- Has one year's post-qualifying experience
- Has experience of working within a mental health/multi-disciplinary setting
- Has experience of child protection work
