Line Manger: Apprenticeship and WP Programme Lead
Accountable to: Head of Clinical Education
This hybrid role includes visit to clinical areas, classroom teaching and working from home.
We are looking for a registered healthcare professional to join a team of highly experienced educators on a 12-month fixed term contract or secondment to support our Reservist learners, T-level students, Nursing Associate Trainees and Cadet learners, Healthcare Support Worker learners and other entry level learners.
This is also an excellent developmental opportunity for eligible candidates who are interested to pursue a career in clinical education.
Main duties of the job
The postholder will work closely with Apprenticeship and Widening participation team, training providers and placement team and clinical placement areas within the organisation in the development and Trust-wide roll out of our HCSW development programme. They will also contribute towards the direct delivery of practice-based learning, educational courses, and other learning opportunities. Other key aspects of the role
The ideal candidate will have the following key skills / attributes (please also refer to the JD and person specification)
- Healthcare professional with a minimum of 24 months of post registration experience in clinical practice
- Able to travel to multiple sites within the Trust regulalry (Newbury, Slough, Bracknell etc)
- Proficient in teaching basic clinical skills (observations, venepuncture etc)
- Experience of mentoring and practice assessment of students
- Intermediate IT skills / Excel /ppt etc
