Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic andexperienced CBT Therapist/Clinical Psychologist/Counselling Psychologist to join the Op Courage Veterans Mental Health and Wellbeing service working across Hampshire and Isle of Wight on a fixed term basis.
The service offers assessment and treatment to military veterans presenting with military attributable complex mental health issues including PTSD, depression, anxiety disorders, substance misuse and/or anger issues. There will be opportunities to contribute to service development, audits and service evaluation, as well as to the development and provision of training and consultation to raise awareness of veterans' needs and enhance the psychological treatment of military veterans.
If you are successful, you will provide specialist assessments, formulations and evidence-based treatment following NICE guidance. You will be able to draw on a number of therapeutic models, including CBT, CFT, NETand EMDR to inform a formulation-driven approach to working with complex clinical presentations.
The post holder will be equipped to work in Hampshire and Isle of Wight. There are opportunities for flexible working and working from home as agreed with the Head of Service. A car driver with access to a car is essential.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide assessment and psychological treatment for veterans with military-attributable complex mental health issues, including PTSD, depression, anxiety disorders, substance misuse and anger issues.
The post-holder will receive high quality supervision, undertake training in the service's treatment model and will be fully supported to offer evidence-based treatment following NICE guidance.
We pride ourselves on offering excellent support provision within the team to carry out clinical duties including access to daily senior clinicians on rota, weekly or fortnightly individual supervision as well as specialist supervision in the compassion focused therapy model and EMDR as well as CPD opportunities.
The post holder will be equipped to work remotely and there are opportunities for flexible working and working from home as agreed with the Head of Service.
