An exciting career opportunity is available for a secondment to the role of Clinical Development Lead, who has a passion and enthusiasm to foster a positive learning environment for clinicians in our Community Nursing team

The service has a wide range of skill mix from band 4 Nursing Associates, through to band 7 Community Matrons.

We aim to provide the highest quality of care and standards of practice to our patients and to provide care as close to home as possible. As a Clinical Development Lead you will work closely with the Service Manager and Leadership Team to identify key learning needs and to deliver training packages to ensure that all staff are fully competent and confident in undertaking both existing and new skills.

Main duties of the job

  • The Clinical Development Lead will deliver the fundamental elements of education and training to staff working across the Community Nursing Services.
  • The Clinical Development Lead will also support the Service Manager in the development of robust career pathways to support recruitment, retention and staff satisfaction
  • Work clinically with clinicians and their mentors to facilitate development of clinical skills, theoretical knowledge and conceptual understanding of clinical practice.

In partnership with senior clinical staff ensure that undergraduate students are exposed to and are taught evidence-based interventions to the required national standards.

  • Design and deliver training and development programmes on a range of topics.
