Main duties of the job

This is a fantastic opportunity to join Wellbeing Matters, a new, energetic, friendly and progressive Staff Support team. We are looking to enhance our wellbeing support offer to staff who experience verbal or physical assaults across Berkshire Healthcare, with a key component of this role being directly focused on the support needs of staff working on the inpatient wards at Prospect Park Hospital. You will also be an integral part of the Wellbeing Matters staff support team, delivering psychological interventions, training, and consultation on all aspects of staff psychosocial wellbeing, including in Staff Support Post Incident (SSPI), and provision of reflective practice groups.

Using professional and local guidelines and policies you will contribute to the development of a high quality, safe and effective services. You will be expected to provide face to face support to staff in their place of work on a regular basis. You will be based at Prospect Park Hospital but also required to travel to sites across the Trust.

  • Current professional registration as Mental Health Nurse.
  • Recognised accredited qualification at post graduate diploma level in a relevant psychological therapy (e.g., CBT, CAT).
  • Accredited with the relevant psychological body (BABCP/UKCP/ACAT etc.) for the psychological modality.
  • Evidence of relevant post qualification development and clinical skills updates.
  • Recognised Post Graduate clinical or leadership qualification relevant to the role.

Desirable

  • Professional Nurse Advocate (PNA) training.
