This is a new role and gives you the opportunity to take a key role in developing and shaping of how we effectively run the department.
The role is responsible for supervising the administration team for the department and
is suitable for someone who can coordinate work effectively and provide support, motivation, and guidance to other team members.
In this role you will need to have good customer service skills and the ability to multitask.
You will also have excellent communication skills, be able to prioritise and organise a varied workload. If you also thrive on variety this is also a role you should consider as you will have travel to other sites when the need arises in the Berkshire, Reading and Wokingham area; you will receive generous mileage allowance to facilitate this element of the role.
You will be joining a trust which has been rated by the CQC as "Outstanding for Care" a Trust who invests in staff and looks to provide them with ongoing training and personal development.

Main duties of the job
- Line management of the administration team including rota management and recruitment
- Responsible for overseeing prompt and completion of administration functions such as appointment bookings, clinic letter management, emails, telephone calls and queries from physiotherapist team.
- Ensure targets and service level agreements are met to support the clinical provision
- To be responsible for the efficient running of the administration service for the physiotherapy department
- Take responsibility for digital referral management and new patient bookings
- Liaise with necessary services to support and assist patients as needed, such as patient transport.
- Be the first point of contact for welcoming patients and visitors attending the physiotherapy outpatient department
- Collect data and statistics to aid management in guiding the service direction.
- Work flexibly in response to the needs of the patients, service, and physiotherapists
- Supporting colleagues to deliver a high quality, effective and compassionate service both virtually and in person.
