Job summary

CAMHs Health and Justice Team West- Physical Health NurseLocation - West Berkshire Youth Offending Team/Reading Youth Offending Team/Wokingham Youth Justice Team

We currently have a part-time (30 hours per week) vacancy for a Physical Health Nurse to work within our CAMHs Health and Justice Team. This team offers health services to Children and Young People who attend the three Youth Offending Teams within Berkshire West.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for an energetic, flexible, and highly motivated practitioner with previous experience of working with young people, families and other agencies. You would be an experienced, enthusiastic and flexible Physical Health Nurse who would enjoy the challenge of working with young people who are known to the Youth Offending Teams in Berkshire West. Your role would involve completing comprehensive health assessments, offering health interventions (e.g. sleep, diet, healthy lifestyle), liaising with other health specialist services, and providing consultation to the team.

You would join the Berkshire CAMHS Health and Justice team which is a multidisciplinary team that supports the mental health, physical health, and speech and language needs of the young people who are working on a statutory or voluntary basis within the six Berkshire Youth Offending Teams. The CAMHS Health and Justice team aims to provide an accessible, flexible and responsive local service for vulnerable and risky young people, their families and the professionals who work with them.

The CAMHS Health and Justice team is closely linked to the wider Berkshire CAMHS service as well as to Thames Valley Forensic CAMHS, Liaison and Diversion services, Children's Social Care and the voluntary sector.
