Job summary
The Band 6 Paediatric specialist nurses role
requires a passionate, highly motivated and experienced Nurse with excellent
communication skills, who considers themselves first and always the childs
advocate, someone who wishes to continue to develop their clinical and
leadership skills, delivering high quality care to our children and young
people and their families. We are

Main duties of the job
We are part of the North West Paediatric diabetes
network we are audited using the National Paediatric Diabetes Audit and comply
with peer review.
You will demonstrate safe critical decision making
skills whilst working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to meet
the needs of the child/young person and their family.
We
work closely with our CYP Transition Nurse, Youth Worker and Wellbeing
Practitioner along with the adult diabetes team to provide effective
transitional care for our young people.
About us
We
provide diabetes care for children with all types of diabetes within
Warrington, Halton and some of the surrounding areas. We are based within Warrington Hospital and
also undertake monthly clinics at Halton hospital. As we work within the
community providing home and school visits it is essential that the applicant
holds a full drivers license and has access to a car.
We
provide a 365 day service by providing an on call service via the telephone at
the weekends and bank holidays as part of the Diabetes Best Practice Tariff.
