Job summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and dynamic midwives to join our skilled and highly motivated team at Warrington Hospital.
The successful candidates will have completed their preceptorship and will rotate across all areas of our maternity service, including the Birth Suite, Antenatal/Postnatal Ward, The Nest (Midwifery-Led Unit), and Maternity Triage.
Our maternity services were recently rated "Good" by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), reflecting our ongoing commitment to providing safe, high-quality care and ensuring a positive experience for the families we support.

Main duties of the job
The successful post-holder will rotate across all areas of the maternity unit, delivering care throughout the antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal periods. This includes working within the Birth Suite, Antenatal/Postnatal Ward, The Nest (MLU), and Maternity Triage.
You will be expected to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, ensuring it is tailored to the individual needs of women and their families.
Flexibility is essential to ensure safe and effective care delivery across the unit. You will work as part of a supportive and well-functioning multi-disciplinary team, upholding high standards of care at all times.
Key responsibilities include:

Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating holistic care, working autonomously in line with Trust guidelines and the Midwife's Sphere of Practice.

Working collaboratively with the wider multi-disciplinary team and external agencies to meet the needs of women, birthing people, and their families.
