Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated pharmacist to join our Principal Pharmacist team in our friendly department. We are looking for an exceptional candidate to provide leadership across both pharmacy and clinical education departments, with broad and exciting responsibilities. In addition to being the leader for education and training, the post-holder will form part of a dynamic senior team alongside the other Principal Pharmacists and Pharmacy Senior Leadership Team. Main duties of the job

We are looking for a motivated, friendly, and supportive pharmacist to lead our education and training programme - both within the Pharmacy department and across the Clinical Education team. The provision of medicines related training across a variety of professions within the trust is well-established, and this position is central to the successful design and delivery of an innovative and progressive education and training strategy to develop and support a skilled and dynamic workforce for the future. The post-holder will manage the lead pharmacist for education and training, and be responsible for rotational pharmacist activities, whilst also supporting audits, evaluating clinical education projects, clinical guidelines, workforce development and the implementation of education interventions. Whist the role has a specialist interest in education, any successful candidate will continue to hone their pharmaceutical experience as an active member of the pharmacy department.

The successful candidate will benefit from working in a transformational, forward-thinking department, keen to develop them as a professional leader. They will receive support and mentorship from senior managers and be encouraged to seek further opportunities to develop their portfolio.

The department delivers 7 day ward based clinical pharmacy services and as such you will be required to participate in the weekend, late and on call rotas in conjunction with your dedicated role.
