To provide a professional and effective security service tailored to meet the needs of Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

To maintain good order and prevent public disorder on all Trust sites.

The protection of patients, staff, contractors and visitors against acts of violence, aggression and abuse.

The protection of Trust property against theft, loss and damage.

The protection of property belonging to patients, staff, visitors and contractors against loss, theft and damage.

Maintain CCTV logs in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation 2018

Provide guidance and facilitate access to the Trust CCTV system for the purpose of Police investigations.

Answer emergency calls via telephone in a courteous and professional manner.

To operate a secure key register.

Assist with vehicle flow through hospital sites - PCN issue, car park machine maintenance.

Main duties of the job

Liaise with wards and departments and provide information and advise on a regular basis to ensure any security related problems are dealt with in a prompt manner.

Respond to any telephone enquiries using job related experience.

Provide first line liaison with the Police over security incidents.

Use conflict resolution skills to deal with difficult patients and visitors, aggressive and /or distressed people. Use of restraints when required for violent /aggressive people.

To respond to any complaints received and action appropriately.

Liaise with Police as required including the submission of statements, preservation and correlation of any evidence that may be required.

Assist with traffic flow on hospital sites, maintain car park payment machines and issue PCN's in line with the Trusts car parking policy.
