Job summary
Are you a Band 5 or Band 6 Physiotherapist with a passion for improving care for respiratory and surgical patients with an interest in Prosthetic rehab?
If so, we are looking for an experienced, motivated, and dynamic Physiotherapist who will work across the in-patient surgical wards and outpatient prosthetic rehab clinic.
This post would be suitable for a Physiotherapist who has a passion for working with Surgical and Respiratory Specialities and enjoys working as part of a large multi-disciplinary team and be able to demonstrate a desire to actively participate in all aspects of this specialist role.
Main duties of the job
The postholder will manage a caseload, working across the surgical and respiratory wards, including the acute respiratory unit and gastroenterology wards. The postholder will also have clinic slots one morning per week, working alongside a clinical specialist in prosthetic rehab.
Collaborative working is key to the role, as the postholder will be working closely with Occupational therapists, the wider MDT and external community services.
The successful candidate will have excellent organisational skills, flexibility and time management skills in order to work within the demands of a busy service.
The successful post holder will be expected to provide supervision and support to junior members of the team and students and engage actively in quality improvement initiatives, service development and professional and personal development.
The working hours for this post will be 37.5 hours over 5 days Mondays to Fridays including participation with the On Call Rota.

The Respiratory, Surgical and Vascular Therapy Team is based at Warrington Hospital, Lovely Lane, Warrington WA5 1QG, this post may include cross site working at Halton Hospital. Travel to the Countess of Chester Hospital will also be required.
