physiotherapist)We have an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic and progressive Outpatient team, with amazing opportunities to develop your knowledge and skills within a friendly, supportive team. The successful candidate will join our established outpatient physiotherapy service, providing MSK assessment, advice and treatment to patients referred by Orthopaedic, Rheumatology, Pain consultants, GPs, AHPs, FCPs and ED Advanced practitioners. We have excellent communication with our consultants and other members of the MDT.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will provide MSK assessment, advice, and treatment to patients. Treatment options are, Hydrotherapy, Gym Classes, Pain Management Groups and Face to Face. The successful candidate will be required to provide supervision. We offer excellent team support and regular informal and formal supervision with experienced clinicians, including specialists in Upper limb, Lower limb, Spinal, Paediatrics, Rheumatology, Chronic pain, and AED. CPD is offered in the form of regular in-service training, internal and external courses and is supported by robust job-plans.

  • Previous experience in core rotations which can be demonstrated in the selection process situation.
  • Previous experience leading to a demonstrable understanding of specialist skills for MSK OP Physiotherapy.

Desirable

  • Previous experience in MSK OP Physiotherapy at same grade as static physio.
  • Previous experience in MSK OP Physiotherapy at same grade as rotational physio.

Qualifications

Essential

  • BSc hons in Physiotherapy or equivalent.
  • HCPC registration.
  • Evidence of formal post registration training and experience.

Desirable

  • Certificated attendance at external and internal courses relevant to area of work.

PHYSICAL SKILLS

Essential

  • Ability to work across sites and work outside of normal office hours.
  • Participation in weekend and on-call rotas.

PHYSICAL EFFORT

Essential

  • Contribute to a 7-day working service.
  • To frequently exert physical effort in cramped conditions and sustained postures for periods of up to 40 minutes several times a day. This would include moving patients as part of their treatment or moving equipment.

MENTAL EFFORT
