This role provides operational financial advice, support and guidance to budget holders and operational mangers across a range of services.

Main duties of the job

You will be a fully qualified CCAB accountant

The role will support the department in meeting its objectives and be involved in improving processes.

Provide detailed advice and guidance to managers and clinicians

To co-ordinate the production of monthly financial management information including variance analysis and forecasting.

To co-ordinate the budget setting process

To assist in managing budgets, planning service developments, identifying and achieving CIP targets and supporting business cases.

  • ECDL or equivalent experience
  • Continuing Professional Development (mandatory to retain qualification)

Experience

  • Significant senior level experience in financial management
  • Significant senior level post qualification experience

  • Experience in producing business cases and involvement in business planning
  • Experience of staff management

Desirable

  • Experience of NHS Finance
  • Experience of producing training plans
