Job summary
The Rota Co-ordinator will lead and co-ordinate medical rotas, whilst working in a supportive environment. The role has been developed to improve and support the working lives of our clinical teams with respect to the following:
Management of on-call clinical rota
Management of rota to ensure resident doctors in training attend education events to meet training requirements
Allocation of doctors on wards, in clinics, theatres and elective caesarean section lists
Allocating medical staff to additional theatre lists and clinics as required
To work independently utilising own skills and initiative without the need for supervision, in an organised, efficient and effective manner to maximise use of own time. Post holder is expected to be flexible in their approach to meet the needs of the service.
Work areas will include:
Providing day-to-day administrative duties aligned with the role including the monitoring of annual and study leave, sickness absence and timely meetings with educational supervisors.
Offering support and building excellent working relationships to medical teams.
