Job summary
Medical Education plays a key role in the provision of high-quality Programmes for Resident Doctors and Medical Students throughout the Trust. The Service has overall responsibility for the organisation and delivery of high-quality training for medical students and Resident Doctors as well as Continuing Professional Development in relation to our Medical Education Contract with NHSE and the University of Liverpool/Chester.
The Medical education Administrative Assistant will provide a high-quality administrative, reception and secretarial service for all visitors to the Medical Education Department and provide a comprehensive administrative support service to the Medical Education team
Main duties of the job
As a Reception-based role, the post holder will support the efficient running of the Education Centre, acting as point of contact, managing both email and telephone communications, utilising the Centre's Room Booking System (Outlook), Dealing with the room set up and meet & greet to support our full Educational remit including, Various Courses, Teaching and Conferences as required.
Support appropriate Teaching, Courses, Learning Events and Induction Programmes which pertain to the Medical Education team; ensuring our NHSE obligations to deliver training and disseminate training are adhered to.
- To assist in the preparation Information detailing Medical Education Activities and circulation to relevant learners
- Prepare documentation for courses such as bookings forms, name badges, sign-in sheets, receipts, and creating certificates
The role will also include
Note taking for appropriate meetings as directed by the Medical Education Manager.
Liaise and communicate with the various Departments with regards to any Centre issues to maintain a safe working environment.
Requisition and monitor stationery for Centre usage and re-order as required and raise Purchase Orders on behalf of the medical education team.
Update accurately the Electronic Board in the Education Centre to display meeting details and providing IT equipment assistance to service users where required.
