Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent full-time Higher - Level Care Support Worker to join our dynamic growing team on Ward C21.

The successful applicant for this post will be kind, caring, confident and consistently able to act as a role model within the professional environment. They will also be a team player and who is ready to lean new skills and take on new challenges to support the team and the delivery of effective, timely care.

As our service runs around the clock 365 days a year the successful applicant is required to work a shift including days, night, weekends and bank holidays.

If you are an overseas national who would require a Certificate of Sponsorship from the Trust to ensure your Right to Work in the UK, the Band 3 Healthcare worker role is unable to offer this if you are new to the NHS (or have less than 2 years' NHS service) and therefore your starting salary would be £24,071. This is due to a change in the increased salary threshold advised by the UK Home Office on 12th March 2025, stating that Employer sponsorship will only be available for starting salaries above £25,000. If you apply for the role and this restriction applies to you, your application would be automatically rejected prior to shortlisting stage.

Main duties of the job

  • Supporting those with your care to meet activities of daily living
  • Working closely with the Registered nurse to deliver, monitor and evaluate care.
  • Communicating effectively with patients, families and members of the multidisciplinary team.
  • Using your skills and knowledge to escalate concerns or manage risk such as pressure ulcers.
  • Working together with others - offering support as able.
  • Developing a range of additional skills to support the delivery of safe and effective care in line with Band 3 CSW expectations.
