Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for As & When Phlebotomist to join our phlebotomy team working within the Pathology Directorate.

We are looking for people who are enthusiastic innovative and pro-active to join our friendly and forward-thinking team.

The phlebotomy service is based across both Warrington & Halton site and some General Practitioners in Runcorn.

This is a zero-contract covering Monday to Sunday between the hours of 8am until 8pm.

Salary

£11.44 per hour.

Main duties of the job

Your main duties of the post will be to the collection of blood sample by venepuncture and capillary on both adults and children.

There will be some additional duties such as clerical and housekeeping duties.

The successful candidate must be computer literate, knowledge of Lorenzo and ICE would be an advantage, but this is not essential as training will be given.

The effective candidate will need to possess good teamwork qualities and willing to learn new skills.

The candidate must have a flexible approach to working hours and to meet service level requirements.

The effective candidate will need to provide a prominent level of customer care service and possess excellent communication skills with patients, staff, and managers.

Phlebotomy experience is desirable, phlebotomy training can be given, qualification gained on completion of training.

About us

Our phlebotomy team is currently expanding due to service needs and giving staff new opportunities and progression depending on skill mix availability.
