This is an exciting opportunity to join our already well-established team within the Urgent and Emergency Care Clinical Business Unit at Warrington Emergency Department.
The Emergency Department is looking to recruit a matron for Ambulatory Care Unit and Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) which was recently purposed built.

You will provide support in the clinical environment, with the focus not only on new staff joining the department but in ensuring ongoing clinical support for all staff.
Main duties of the job
The post holder should possess excellent communication and clinical skills within same day emergency care and ambulatory care with a clear understanding of type 1 and type 5 patients. We are looking for someone who is passionate about leading by example by demonstrating consistently high standards that are required for the care of our patients. You must also be driven to pass your knowledge and experience on to colleagues of all disciplines.
As SDEC & Ambulatory matron, you will be expected to support the senior management team with patient safety, patient experience clinical governance and embed quality driving strong leadership at all times.
As a registered, accountable, and autonomous nurse you will always act in the best interests of patients and take responsibility for own actions and decisions. Be responsible for planning, delivering, and supervising safe and compassionate care, and evaluating the effectiveness of care, without supervision. You will be required to be transparent and passionate about nursing whilst assisting and promoting the delivery of evidence-based patient focused care.
