Job summary
Due to maternity leave, an excellent opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and flexible professional to join our finance team as a Management Accountant working within the Central Management Accounts team.
The role offers home or office-based working as well as potential flexible working arrangements.
Main duties of the job

To line manage, support, develop and performance manage the central management accounts team to ensure the delivery of an effective and efficient budget management and support service across the Trust.
To work together with Operation Managers and Senior Management Accountants across the Trust to ensure supply of financial information meets the needs of Directorates and is accurate, timely and relevant.
To ensure financial information is processed in accordance with procedures, investigate highly complex enquiries providing assistance and advice as required and contribute to corporate reporting, providing strategic, business planning advice.
To prepare and complete statutory, NHS accounts and returns, ensuring work is completed in line with financial timescales and legal requirements, interpreting these where necessary.
To review financial systems, processes and procedures across the management accounts team and implement agreed recommendations to continuously improve the efficiencies and effectiveness of the support service.
