We are looking for a Band 5 Registered Mental Health Nurse or Learning Disability Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team on Coombehaven Ward at the Cedars.
As part of our multi-disciplinary team, you'll use your skills and compassion to deliver high-quality care to individuals on our acute mental health ward, supporting them on their journey to recovery. We believe that with the right care, people can regain independence and return to their communities with confidence.
About Coombehaven Ward
Coombehaven is a 16-bed mixed acute unit set within the beautiful grounds of Wonford House in Exeter and provides care for men and women with severe mental health needs.

- A Registered Mental Health or Learning Disability Nurse with a genuine interest in inpatient care for people with severe mental illness.
- A commitment to delivering the highest standards of care.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working within a multi-disciplinary team.
- A proactive attitude, with a willingness to share ideas and drive improvements.

Main duties of the job
Job Purpose
- To assess care needs, develop, implement and evaluate individual care plans.
- To provide named nurse role to people who use our service.
- To promote and improve quality of service provided.
- To manage the unit in the absence of Ward Manager / Team Leader
- To participate in the internal rotation system including weekend and night working
