We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced, dynamic, and highly motivated professional to join our Teignbridge Older Peoples Community Mental Health Team as a Clinical Practice Lead.
This team is dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care for individuals aged 65 and over. We deliver comprehensive assessment and treatment for those experiencing functional mental health difficulties, alongside specialist assessment and post-diagnostic support to help people live well with organic brain disorders such as dementia.
As Clinical Practice Lead, you will play a vital role within our multidisciplinary leadership teamdriving clinical excellence, supporting colleagues, and helping to shape the future of our service.
Main duties of the job
As Clinical Practice Lead, you will provide expert clinical guidance, promote evidence-based practice, and help shape high-quality assessment and treatment pathways for older adults experiencing functional mental health conditions, as well as those living with organic brain disorders such as dementia.
You will play a key role in driving service development, supporting colleagues, and enhancing the overall experience and outcomes for the people and families.
Main duties as Clinical Practice Lead include:
Providing clinical leadership and expert guidance to the multidisciplinary team.

Supporting high-quality assessment, formulation, and treatment planning for older adults with functional mental health needs and dementia.

Promoting evidence-based practice and contribute to ongoing service development and improvement.

Offering clinical supervision, support, and professional development to team members.

Working collaboratively with service users, carers, and partner agencies to ensure coordinated, person-centred care.

Contributing to clinical governance activities, including quality assurance, audit, and risk management.

- The Community Practice Leader is responsible for ensuring
compliance with quality and safety standards within their assigned teams. They
will ensure that all individuals receiving care and treatment from OPMH
services do so in line with Trust strategic values.

decisions around their care and treatment
- Champion dignity, equality, diversity, choice and respect
