Job summary

The North Devon Adult Community Mental Health Team is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, flexible and multi-skilled Administrator to join its busy administration team. You will work closely with our other Business Administrators to support the administration and clinical teams across North Devon Mental Health Services. Your main base will be West Pilton Health and Wellbeing Clinic in Barnstaple but you may be required to travel to other sites across Bideford, Barnstaple and Ilfracombe.

Main duties of the job

The role includes management of the administration team within the North Devon Community Mental Health Team. As a role model, you will inspire and motivate the team, fostering a positive, challenging environment where staff are valued and encouraged to reach their full potential. The post holder will be actively involved in managing the team, including line management, responsible for recruitment and maintaining staff members, ensuring appropriate level of admin support for the clinical teams.

You will work closely with the Organisation and Clinical Team Managers to help develop, maintain and improve processes and systems which provide the clinical team with effective, efficient methods to enable them to use time effectively.

You will be responsible for arranging, chairing and minute taking regular administrative meetings.

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring all records are up to date on appropriate staffing and patient systems, and ensure standards relating to administrative processes are maintained.

To maintain communication links with all staff, using a variety of techniques to develop team morale and motivation through effective personal leadership.

The successful candidate will have excellent IT skills, attention to detail and accuracy and excellent organisation and time management skills. As well as be a strong team player and have the ability to follow Trust policies and procedures.
